Venice - Day 1

I know this blog post has nothing to do with the theme of my other posts. I just thought it would be nice to write about the things i do and places i go while im away for 10 days. The first 3 days will be about Venice then ill be going on a cruise visiting places like Greece, Italy, Turkey and Croatia.

The last time i went abroad was when i was still in secondary school so i think i was about 14 and that was the first time i went to Venice or even went on a plane. So i cant really remember what it was like flying but i can remember the sort of stuff that's in Venice and i remember it being really nice. There were loads to do in the square and went to see Juliets tomb. But i wont talk about that now ill talk about the stuff i did today :).

Sarahs first time on a plane.

I flew with Jet 2 who i also flew with last time i went to Venice so my daughter was excited to be going to the same place i went to and on the same plane XD. I was worried that Sarah might not like flying being her first time on a plane. But she loved it she said "it was like a roller coaster". Me on the other hand was scared i hate it when the plane starts to go up and i try not to look out the window in till we straightened up. Didn't see much of a view because we were flying over the clouds but it looked lovely.

I had an embarrassing moment on the plane though :(. Sarah spilled my J2O all over me, so i had to sit there for over an hour in wet clothes :( it looked like i peed my self XD. But by the time we got of the plane my pants had dried a bit and didn't look to bad. Once we got of the plane we went to get are suitcases and there was a man waiting to pick us up to take us to the Hotel Venezia. I was so happy to get change out of my clothes soaked in J20 and it to fresh clean clothes. Then went out to explore a little bit but didn't do much because the shops shut at about 1 for dinner then reopen a few hours later.

The first thing i ate when i got out of the hotel was a strawberry Ice-cream which was delicious. Sarah got a chocolate flavored one which was very rich.Then we decided to sit in the sun and have a cold drink. While walking round i got so many looks because of my blue hair. It was like they have never seen someone with blue hair before XD.
On the way back to the hotel there was a cafe on the corner and decided to grab something to eat (hadn't eaten anything since 4am) . 

Me and Sarah in the Cafe enjoying Lasagna and chips the food was really yummy and i loved the chips i would be happy to eat there again. The owner even gave me a free drink to match the colour of my hair.

My Free drink i don't even know what it was but it was yummy! After we had eaten we went back to the hotel so she could have a little nap because she had been up since 4am. 

While sarah was asleep my grandparents went out and brought some cakes to bring back. These were from the cafe we went to earlier. After the cakes and a rest we got ready and decided to have another walk about now that the shops were open.

 We found some little rides and a train for Sarah to go on. She loved them so i told her we can go back tomorrow :).After walking around a few shops and picking up a few bits we headed back to the cafe we went to previously for something to eat this time i had pizza and chips and Sarah had a hot dog and hot chocolate. After we had finished eating we went back to the hotel to relax and get some sleep for another early rise.
